Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi has broken his silence for his unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia this week.
The trip was for promotional purposes and it is believed the player was unable to cancel the pre-planned trip, having already done so on two previous occasions.
The club reportedly suspended the World Cup winner for two weeks after flew to Saudi Arabia without permission from the head coach.

"I thought we were going to have a day off after the game as always.
I had this trip organised and I couldn't cancel it. I had already cancelled it before…"
"I apologise to my teammates and I'm waiting for what the club wants to do with me".
Christopher Galtier's charges are back in action on Sunday evening against Troyes, but the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is not expected to feature.
