Mourinho Opens Door To Roma Exit Amid PSG Links

Amid rumours linking him with the Paris Saint-Germain managerial position, Jose Mourinho has hinted at a possible Roma exit.

With rumours of a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain circulating, Jose Mourinho has now admitted he sometimes dreams of "other ambitions".

PSG manager Christophe Galtier's future in Paris remains a hot topic, with multiple reports claiming that the French tactician's time at the Parc des Princes will come to an end once the 2022/23 campaign concludes.

With Mourinho, currently manager of Italian giants Roma, having been mooted as the Marseille native's potential successor, he has fuelled that speculation with his latest comments, hinting that he sometimes thinks of achieving success elsewhere.

"I'm happy here [in Italy], I can't hide it. I like the people, I have a good relationship with the property, if I say otherwise I'm lying," the Setubal native said after his club's 4-1 victory over Feyenoord in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night, as per Mundo Deportivo.

"The players are fantastic, they have tremendous empathy between them. They're not like children because I have two, but almost.

"I can't say I'm not happy. Sometimes I think about frustrations and other times I think about other ambitions, but today the important thing is that I'm happy and I work for people and I've seen them happy. That's what's important."

The Giallorossi head coach has revived his career in the Italian capital after tumultuous tenures at both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Having guided Roma to UEFA Europa Conference League triumph last season and now being in the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League, the 60-year-old has perhaps illustrated that he is still capable of winning at the highest level.

Mourinho has also overseen dressing rooms with big personalities all his career, so it seems likely the Ligue 1 champions' high-profile players will not faze him, but should he be appointed as manager of PSG, it could be his toughest test yet.
