According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Catalan club is currently facing a transfer dilemma ahead of the 2023/24 campaign due to their precarious financial situation.
It is believed Barcelona have to raise significant funds in the coming months to be able to land new arrivals, with a number of high-profile players having been linked with top clubs around Europe.
Their economic turmoil has reportedly left the Blaugrana willing to shift Fati on at the end of the season following the winger's disappointing form.
Fati, who inherited Lionel Messi's No. 10 shirt at the Camp Nou in 2021, has struggled to impress with the opportunities he has been handed by manager Xavi Hernandez, often meaning he has started games from the bench.
The Guinea-Bissau-born forward burst on to the scene with some spectacular performances as a teenager, but appears to be finding it difficult to rediscover his touch following a few serious injuries.
Barcelona had previously been open to parting ways with Manchester United target De Jong, but now appear to have decided they will continue with the player due to his growing importance in the side.
