Inter Milan CEO Confirms Lukaku's Future
According to The Telegraph, a number of players in the Blues' dressing room were shocked to be left out of the team's matchday squad on the weekend.
Potter has recently discussed the complications that come with managing a bloated squad, after eight new players were brought to the club in the recent transfer window.
Discussing this past Sunday's fixture against Tottenham Hotspur, which Chelsea lost 2-0, the ex-Brighton Hove Albion boss said the likes of Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Cucurella, Carney Chukwuemeka and David Datro Fofana were unfortunate to miss out.
It is suggested by The Telegraph that more than one of those who failed to make the squad were taken aback by Potter's call to leave them to watch on from the stands as Chelsea's winless streak in the Premier League stretched to five games.
Three of the four players – Cucurella, Chukwuemeka and Fofana – were signed by the club this season, with the latter arriving from Norwegian club Molde in January.
