Since his arrvial, Pirates found their scoring touch after scoring nine goals in three matches prior to their l-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Chickelday confirmed on social media that the game against Sundowns was his final one with the Soweto giants.

"Not the result I wanted in my last game with  @orlandopirates competed and dominated for 90 minutes to lose 1-0 against top of the table  @Masandawana. Thanks to everyone involved with the club and to the fantastic supporters for making me so welcome!," the coach tweeted.
