The 20-year-old was arrested on Sunday last week on suspicion of rape and assault after leaked images and audio recordings surfaced online.
He was then "further arrested" three days later on suspicion of threats to kill and sexual assault, before he was released the following day on bail after spending three nights behind bars.
United reacted quickly on the day of his first detainment, revealing in a statement that Greenwood had been suspended from all first-team activities until further notice, a stance they later reiterated.
According to The Sun, some players in the team's dressing room believe it is wrong for the forward to be exiled until he is actually proven guilty of the crimes he has been accused of committing.
Others in the side, however, have already unfollowed Greenwood on social media, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford.
A source is reported to have told The Sun that one player is angry with how the club has "ditched" the academy product.
"One player, in particular, is furious about it. He feels that ditching Mason shows they are not together," the source said.
"If Mason is convicted of what he has been accused of, then clearly all the players will be horrified. But the police haven't even decided if they have enough evidence to charge him or not yet.
