Reports coming out of England suggest that Percy Tau could be one of nine players leaving Brighton and Hove Albion at the end of the season.
According to British publication Brighton hove Albion Independent The Lion of Judah could be on his way out of Albion, despite it being just his first season playing for the club.
"Brighton contract expires June 2022. Made an encouraging Premier League debut against Man City and then came on as a substitute during the 1-0 win at Leeds and has not featured since. Remains in the matchday squad and can offer Potter something a little different. Whether that's enough to keep him next season remains to be seen," the publication said of Tau's possible exit from the club.
It is true that Tau's influence has waned since his promising start to life in England's top-flight and to date has made just five appearances for Brighton, starting three of those matches.
It has been 10 matches since Tau last featured for coach Graham Potter's side and he is guaranteed to miss two more, with the 26-year-old having to undergo mandatory isolation for 10 days, having done duty in South Africa and Sudan, which are considered COVID-19 red zones.
With the Seagulls having collected six points from their last two matches, it's looking increasingly likely that they will retain their Premier league status this campaign, and with Tau's contract expiring in 2022, it is uncertain whether he will form part of the squad next season.
