Thabo Makhele Has Joined Stellenbosch On Loan

SuperSport United defender, Thabo Makhele, has joined National First Division outfit Stellenbosch FC on loan until the end of the season.   Read: Cameroon International Leaves SuperSport   The 22-year-old joined Matsatsantsa last year after being signed from Witbank Spurs, however he has been recovering from a long-term injury that he sustained while playing for the South African U23 side in March.   Now, fully recovered after breaking his fibula, Makhele will be looking to get back to full match fitness so that he can try and break his way into Stuart Baxter's first team.   In order to gain that sharpness, the Siya crew have been informed that the centre back has been sent out on loan to Stellenbosch in the NFD, where he is expected to help them challenge for promotion into the Absa Premiership.   Makhele was on the scoresheet for SuperSport this past weekend as they won the Mbombela Spectacular tournament, but will now turn his focus to helping his new club in their battle for promotion.
