Orlando Pirates fans can expect to see free-flowing football from their team under their new coach Kjell Jonevret, if what veteran striker Siyabonga Nomvethe knows about him is anything to go by.

Nomvethe played under the Swedish coach, who was unveiled at Pirates on Monday, during the AmaZulu striker's time at Djurgadens IF in Sweden in 2005.
It was after the former Bafana Bafana striker was loaned from Italian club Udinese to Djurgadens that Jonevret won the Swedish league and cup with the side.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, during AmaZulu's open day ahead of the team's NFD match against Real Kings which is scheduled for Sunday, Nomvethe highlighted the Swede's love for attacking football and solid defensive structure.
"He is a good coach. I was with him in Sweden. He was coaching us when we won the championship and the Swedish cup. He was a good coach for me, although I was with him there for only six months. After that (working with Jonevret), I came to join Orlando Pirates. In my opinion, he is a good coach even though the kind of style we play here in South Africa is different with the different culture. But I'm sure he will understand it. He likes to see the ball moving forward and the defenders to protect goals," the former Bafana striker told the media.

Jonevret has already spoken about wanting to strengthen the defence at Pirates. The coach is finalising his preparations for his first game in charge of Bucs, which will be against Polokwane City on Saturday.
