The Siya crew has been informed that veteran campaigner, Sibusiso Zuma, is close to clinching a deal with NFD outfit, Vasco da Gama.
The winger known for colouring his hair gold has been on the books of SuperSport United for the past three seasons, but did not enjoy regular game time in the previous campaign and recently parted ways with the club. At 39, the former Bafana Bafana international believes he still has a lot to offer and was recently on trial at Mpumalanga Black Aces, where he was unsuccessful in getting a deal.
The crew can now reveal that Zuma is set to re-join the National First Division club, with whom he had a spell in the 2010/11 season when they were campaigning in the PSL.
Zuma was also linked with a move to University of Pretoria. However, that did not materialise and he looks set to be playing his football in Cape Town in the new season, hoping that he will help Vasco get promotion back to the elite league.
'Rhee' has had a glittering career, registering 67 national team caps. Having started out at African Wanderers in 1995, he has gone on to feature for teams like Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, Arminia Bielefeld in Germany and Danish club, FC Copenhagen.
