Roger Majafa Joins Orlando Pirates

News reaching the Siya crew is that Orlando Pirates have concluded a deal with Roger Majafa from Polokwane City.

The midfielder is said to have been monitored by Pirates for some time. The 25-year old made 13 league starts for Rise and Shine in the 2014/15 season.

According to a source close to the player at Polokwane, Majafa has penned a deal that will see him leave Polokwane for Pirates at the end of the month.

"Roger Majafa has signed for Pirates. He is from Polokwane City. He is a Pirates player and won't be at Polokwane next season," said the source.

Majafa is a product of Africa Sport Youth Development Academy (ASYDA). A few players in the current squad of Pirates, including Ntsikelelo Nyauza, Patrick Phungwayo, Mpho Makola, Oupa Manyisa and Lehlogonolo Masalesa have all been with ASYDA under Harold 'Jazzy Queen' Legodi, earlier in their careers.

Another source close to the Pirates camp revealed, "The new players haven't started training with the team yet. The focus has always been on the guys playing in the CAF Confederation Cup. Everyone else is starting tomorrow from what I understand."
