The PSL have confirmed that if Mamelodi Sundowns are to qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup, there is no other option but to postpone Absa Premiership and cup competition fixtures.
Sundowns are one step closer to being crowned CAF Champions League champions, and all will be decided when Pitso Mosimane's side face Egyptians, Zamalek on Sunday, for the second-leg of the final.
Since being the only PSL team currently participating in the Champions League campaign, Masandawana have had five of their Absa Premiership fixtures postponed to later dates, placing The Brazilians at the very foot of the league standings, obtaining just one point from one match played.

Now, the PSL's Public Relations Officer, Luxolo September has confirmed that, if Sundowns are crowned CAF Champions, their qualification for the FIFA Club World Cup would mean a postponement of even more PSL fixtures, as they will play the tournament during the course of 8-18 December, a period within which the PSL campaign is still underway.
"If they qualify for the (FIFA) Club World Cup, we have no option but to move the fixtures. No (provisional dates have been made), we are not there yet," September told the Siya crew.
If Sundowns qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup, the Brazilians will be set to face the winner of a play-off to the quarter-finals between the Japanese J-League winner (still to be determined) and Auckland City, the winner of Oceania's Champions League. Sundowns will then be set to face Atletico Nacional, the winners of the South American Copa Libertadores, if they progress through to the semi-final.
Real Madrid will be set to play their specific fixture in the semi-finals and permutations are that if both Madrid and Masandawana progress pass their opponents, the champions of Africa and the champions of Europe will be set to entertain the entire football fraternity with a global showpiece in the Club World Cup final.
