Player Ratings: Bloemfontein Celtic v Kaizer Chiefs 17 January 2016

Soccer Laduma rates the performances of the players following Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday.   Celtic:    Patrick Tignyemb: 7.0   The Celtic goalkeeper made two crucial saves just after the break to keep matters level.   Mbhazima Rikhotso: 6.5   The defender fulfilled his duties without too many problems.   Aphiwe Lubisi: 5.0   Lubisi made a big error in the 71st minute when he brought down Twala in the box to hand Chiefs their penalty.   Shane April: 6.0   April had a decent run-out, not making any glaring errors in midfield.   Wayde Jooste: 6.5   Jooste showed some good pace on the right wing that caused a few problems for Chiefs.   Alfred Ndengane: 6.0   The defender had a quiet game and went about his business calmly.   Musa Nyatama: 6.0   Nyatama showed a couple of good touches in the center of midfield.   Thapelo Morena: 6.5   Morena's bursts of pace required the Chiefs defence to stay on their guard.   Vusi Shikweni: 6.5   Shikweni sent in a few threatening crossed from the left flank.   Lerato Lamola: 6.0   Lamola was quieter than usual and struggled to find work.   Gabadinho Mhango: 6.5   Mhango was perhaps unlucky not to get a penalty in the 13th minute and threatened to score on a few occasions for Celtic.   Substitutes:    Lyle Lakay: N/A   Lakay came on for Lubisi in the 89th minute.   Helder Pelembe: 6.0   Pelembe replaced Mhango in the 73rd minute but didn't influence the game.   Vutani Ntanga: 6.0   Ntanga replaced Shikweni in the 64th minute and had an average game.   Chiefs:    Reyaad Pieterse: 6.0   Pieterse had a good game overall but did have a few nervy moments.   Siboniso Gaxa: 6.0   Gaxa was kept in check and didn't enjoy as many overlapping runs as usual.    Lorenzo Gordinho: 7.0   The young centre-back was solid once again. He rarely looked under pressure.   Erick Mathoho: 6.0    Mathoho didn't make any big mistakes but was perhaps fortunate not to be given a penalty against him in the 13th minute.   Tsepo Masilela: 6.0   Similar to Gaxa, Masilela struggled to find room on the wing to make overlapping runs. He did what was required in defence.   Willard Katsande: 7.0   Katsande was the enforcer in midfield and took his penalty with great composure.   Reneilwe Letsholonyane: 6.5   Yeye was energetic in the engine room and constantly looked for work.   George Maluleka: 7.0   Maluleka had a good game. He got involved in as much of the game as possible and came close to scoring in the 35th minute.   Sula Matovu: 6.5   Matovu looked good on the left. He showed some promising touches in dangerous areas.   Siphiwe Tshabalala: 7.5   Shabba was all over the pitch, distributing and winning the ball back. The attacks flowed through him.   Camaldine Abraw: 6.0   Abraw didn't get many chances in the final third, and his one decent opportunity went poorly.   Substitutes:    Bongani Ndulula: 6.5   Ndulula replaced Abraw in the 65th minute and had a bit more about him.   Ivan Bukenya: 6.0   Bukenya came on for Maluleka and didn't do too much wrong.   William Twala: 7.5   Twala looked really good after replacing Matovu. He hit the woodwork and won a penalty for Chiefs.
