Both Pirates and Ajax have five players each in the most recent squad selected by coach Molefi Ntseki.
Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns have two players each selected for the squad. As confirmed by SAFA, the South African U17 football team will report for duty over the Easter period and national school holidays, to continue their training camp for 2018.
Ntseki is building a squad in preparation for the 2018 COSAFA Youth Championships, CAF U17 African Cup of Nations and aiming to qualify for the 2019 FIFA Youth World Cup.
Thirty players have been called up by Ntseki for the camp.
"We have invited a few new players to this training camp and also looked into a few that we spotted last year but failed to use due to them not having travel documents. I believe that following our first training camp in January 2018, we are on course with the core of the squad and players now need to show the hunger to be in the national setup as we get closer to the qualifiers. We are hoping to make good use of these school holidays and hopefully get an international friendly match or two within this period; just to ensure that we maximize the time spent with the boys," said Ntseki as quoted on SAFA's website.
The players are expected to report for camp at the SAFA Technical Centre in Johannesburg on Friday, 30 March, and will be there until 08 April.
