Lucky Lekgwathi Still Orlando Pirates Captain

Lucky Lekgwathi, Orlando Pirates.
Orlando Pirates have confirmed that Lucky Lekgwathi is still the club captain and that Oupa Manyisa is only standing in while the Bucs veteran recovers from injury. Vladimir Vermezovic told the Siya crew last weekend that they have appointed Manyisa as the new Bucs captain following the passing of Senzo Meyiwa, however the team's administrative manager, Floyd Mbele, explained that the appointment is temporary. It was thought that Siyabonga Sangweni would have been reinstated as the captain, having sported the captain's armband before Meyiwa's appointment, however coach Vermezovic opted not to go with him. Mbele said that there is no problem with Sangweni, and that the captaincy will be rotating until Lekgwathi returns to action. "There is nothing wrong with Sangweni. He was the captain before Senzo when Lucky was injured and now Oupa is the captain in the absence of Lucky, but Lekgwathi remains the captain. When he comes back from injury, he will take back the arm band. "He is the captain, but he is not on the field of play because he is injured, but he is still Pirates captain," Mbele concluded.
