Khabo Zondo Has Joined The Eagles' Nest

Former Bafana Bafana assistant coach, Khabo Zondo, has joined struggling National First Division outfit, Royal Eagles, as their technical director. The 52-year-old, who also coached Amajita a few years back, has been given the task of reviving the Durban-based club, which is owned by millionaire, Sbu Mpisane but only accumulated three points out of a possible twelve. "We've hired Zondo to turn things around," Eagles' general manager, Richard Makhoba, told Soccer Laduma. "He hasn't been employed to take anyone's job, nobody will be fired. Having Zondo is handy due to his experience." The club has already lost a number of technical staff, including David Bright and Mlungisi "Professor" Ngubane, so it will be interesting to see how Zondo copes under pressure.
