With the 2019/20 season in full swing, Soccer Laduma takes a look at how South Africa's top clubs are ranked on the continent.
According to footballdatabase.com, Mamelodi Sundowns remains the highest ranked South African club, coming off the back of a 2018/19 league-winning campaign and continuing their challenge in the CAF Champions League for several years.

Sundowns are currently ranked at 12th placed in Africa, just a few points away from making their way back into the top 10.
Orlando Pirates follow Sundowns in 19th placed, having been eliminated from both the CAF Champions League and the MTN8 competition.
Bidvest Wits quickly closed the gap on Pirates compared to last season and are now in 20th position on the ranking system on footballdatabase.com.
Lastly, the fourth-highest ranked club, Kaizer Chiefs is trailing in 26th position, while neither challenging in the MTN8 competition nor the CAF Champions League.
