Golden Arrows got their first point and goal of the DStv Premiership season after playing to a 1-1 draw with Marumo Gallants on Saturday afternoon.

Ryan Moon was brought back into the Arrows line-up to partner Knox Mutizwa in the attack as the KwaZulu-Natal side looked to end a run of two successive defeats.
Gallants also came into the encounter searching for their first win following back-to-back goalless draws but coach Romain Folz kept faith with the same front three.
The visitors looked to get on the scoreboard early on, as the likes of Pule Mmodi and Andile Fikizolo unleashed efforts in the opening 15 minutes, although Gallants did force a save out of Nkosingiphile Gumede.

Both sides failed to score in their opening two games of the new campaign and that looked like continuing as the first half lacked any serious goal-mouth action.
It was relatively quiet afternoon for both Gumede and Washington Arubi in the opening 45 minutes, with only the latter being called upon on one occasion early in the half.
That all changed in the second half when Gallants opened the scoring on 56 minutes, with Celimpilo Ngema getting his and the team's first goal for the 2022/2023 campaign.
Arrows did manage to get themselves back on level terms as substitute Velemseni Ndwandwe nodded home unmarked at the far post for the team's first goal this season with 20 minutes remaining in the second stanza.
However, there would be no late show at the Peter Mokaba Stadium as Arrows get their first point while Gallants register a draw for a third successive encounter.
