The Siya crew revealed earlier this year that the German was on the verge of leaving the Amakhosi following interest from the club back in his homeland, something that was later confirmed as Rainer Dinkelacker returned to Naturena.
Now Rudel's appointment has been confirmed in the German media, with them explaining that the 38-year-old has been given a contract with the club until 2017.
Chiefs continue to look for Rudel's long-term replacement at Naturena, however it is believed that Dinkelacker will remain looking after their shot-stoppers for the time being until the find the right person to take over the reigns.
