Result: Malawi 2-1 South Africa

Amajimbos had to settle for fourth place at the COSAFA U17 Championships, after they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Malawi in third/fourth play encounter.
The South Africans managed to hold their own in the middle of the park in the opening 20 minutes, but were unable to carve out chances.
Malawai eventually broke the deadlock in the 26th minute, as Tsamba embarked on a run before firing past Christodoulou.
Amajimbos had a chance to level matters after 32 minutes when James McFarlene picked out Mohammed Shahabodien in the box, but the latter failed to connect with the cross.
Nevertheless, the score remained 1-0 to Malawi at the halftime break.
The Malawians doubled their lead five minutes after the break as Tsamba bagged his second goal of the day.
Amajimbos were then awarded a penalty after 65 minutes. Nare saw his spot-kick saved but managed to slot home the rebound, 1-2.
Molefi Ntseki's charges continued to push for an equaliser and but it was Malawi who went close in the 85th minute as Tathedwa fired just wide from close range.
The South Africans failed to find a leveller in the closing stages, as Malawi held on for the victory.
