Amajimbos missed out on a spot at the Africa U17 Cup of Nations after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Angola in the COSAFA U17 Championship final on Sunday.
The Angolans broke the deadlock as early as the fifth minute with Osvaldo Campemba firing home for his fifth goal of the tournament.
Boitumelo Radiopane went close to pulling the South Africans level but he fired over the crossbar after 18 minutes.
Molefi Ntseki's men continued to push for an equaliser although they were reduced to efforts from distance for most parts of the half.
Nevertheless, the Angolans went into the halftime break with a one-goal advantage.
Amajimbos goalkeeper Bontle Molefe was called into action shortly after the break as he did well to deny Campemba a second goal.
As the time ticked on, Angola managed to carve out another chance after 70 minutes but Rivaldo Cambuta failed to direct his header on target.
South Africa opted for a change moments later as Dante Brown made way for Mohammed Shahabodien with 15 minutes left to play.
However, the Angolans managed to see out the final stages of the half with Amajimbos pushing for an equaliser to secure the win and a spot at Afcon.
