Chris Matombo Surfaces At Baroka FC After Leaving Black Leopards

A former Kaizer Chiefs youngster will look to get a fresh start with a PSL club in the new season, following his disappointment this past campaign. 

Chris Matombo thought he had a chance to revive his career in the PSL when he joined Black Leopards in July last year, following his return from abroad where he did well with Qormi FC of Malta.

However, the midfielder had a contractual dispute with Lidoda Duvha which led to him not playing a single match for the Limpopo outfit during the 2018/19 season.

With clubs preparing for the 2019/20 season, the 25-year-old has surfaced at Baroka FC in search of a new deal.

So far during the transfer window, Bakgaga have added the Malawian duo of midfielder Gerald Phiri and striker Richard Mbulu, as well as Mozambican midfielder Manuel Kambala to the side for the upcoming season.

The Limpopo outfit parted ways with defender Thabiso Semenya and midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo, among others on their way out of the club.     

In other Leopards news, defender Tshepo Tema has not joined the club. The 30-year-old is looking for a new club after his exit from Free State Stars.
