Former Kaizer Chiefs defender, David Kannemeyer, has been handed a role in the technical team of Cape Town All Stars.

As reported in edition 1008 of the Soccer Laduma newspaper, Kannemeyer has been appointed as the Igugu Lekapa assistant coach.
"There's a lot of potential here. We've just got to score more goals. I'm looking forward to again working with my head coach, Patrick Mabedi, who was my old teammate at Kaizer Chiefs," Kannemeyer told the Siya crew.
Igugu Lekapa has parted ways with six players in Sibusiso Hlubi, Eden Nene, Khanya Gwala, Menzi Hlophe, Waseem Isaacs and Mogamat Salie.
More news involving Mother City-based NFD clubs is that FC Cape Town has sacked one assistant coach, Alfred Mocheke. According to the information gathered by the Siya crew, Mocheke's post has been occupied by club boss, Errol Dicks.

"Mr Dicks is the new assistant. Rowan Hendricks remains the other assistant under head coach Johnny Ferreira," Mocheke told the Siya crew.
