The Buccaneers were scheduled to play Golden Arrows on Wednesday evening, but the clash was abandoned before kick-off due to a water-logged pitch.
Pirates also enter the clash 12 points behind league Mamelodi Sundowns but they have also played three games less.
Jose Riveiro will be without midfielder Kabelo Dlamini, who will serve his one-game suspension this afternoon after Wednesday's game was postponed.
Pirates will come up against a City side, who lost 2-0 to Chippa United at Athlone Stadium on Tuesday evening.
City, however, did pick up maximum points against Pirates with 1-0 win in Cape Town last month.
