Ari Efstathiou Said That He Was Not Given A Chance To Address The Executive Committee Yesterday

Ajax Cape Town CEO, Ari Efstathiou said that he was not acknowledged during the Premier Soccer League's executive meeting.

The league held their executive meeting yesterday, where they thereafter confirmed that they will be appealing Judge Denise Fischer's ruling regarding Ajax Cape Town.

Judge Fischer set aside Advocate William Mokhari's award that saw Ajax being docked points from their Absa Premiership campaign for the ineligible fielding of Tendai Ndoro.

As a result, Ajax was reinstated into 15th position and the promotion/relegation play-off results are invalid.

The matter has since been referred back to FIFA, with the PSL confirming yesterday that they will be appealing the decision.

Following the executive committee meeting, the Siya crew contacted Ajax's Efstathiou revealed to the crew that despite being at the PSL headquarters, he was not given a chance to address the committee or acknowledged and left after two hours.

"I requested to be given an opportunity to address the executive committee and waited at reception for two hours. I contacted the CEO through her personal assistant and I was told that I was not needed and could leave.

"I was greatly disappointed because I flew in the previous day specifically to address the committee and find a solution to the current impasse," he said.
