Sources close to the struggling KZN outfit revealed to Soccer Laduma that AmaZulu fans have had enough of the team's below par performances, and lack of positive results under the former Mpumalanga Black Aces coach.
"Irate AmaZulu supporters invaded the club's training and attempted to chase Coach Craig Rosslee away. The angry mob surprised everyone and demanded Rosslee to leave immediately," said the source.
AmaZulu communications manager, Philani Mabaso, confirmed to the Siya crew that a group of fans was seen at the club's training at Moses Mabhida Stadium this morning.
"They were less than 10. They were not more than that. Our training sessions are usually in an open space at Mabhida. Anybody walking past would stop and watch the team's training sessions. I think they were just asking for a solution to the problem.
"Peter (O'Connor), Lunga (Sokhela) and I were there. Obviously, everyone is concerned about the situation. No one is happy about it. The same thing I've been telling them (fans) is that we will turn the corner. We are hoping that this weekend's game (against Bloemfontein Celtic) will be a turning point. They shouldn't give up. We understand their concerns. We feel the same way, but we understand that we are all working hard to change the situation," said Mabaso.
According to one of the officials at AmaZulu, security personnel were called to prevent the angry supporters from entering the ground where Rosslee and the players were conducting their morning training session on Thursday.
