South Africa and Namibia played to a 0-0 draw at the Cosafa U20 Championship in Maseru, Lesotho on Tuesday afternoon, the result enough for Amajita to top Group C and qualify for the semi-finals.
Angola, Kenya and Zimbabwe have also qualified for the semi finals.
Although according to the Cosafa website the winners of Group C were meant to play the winners of Group A (Kenya), it has now emerged Amajita will play Zimbabwe in their semi-final.
The game started at a slow pace as the rain fell heavily in Maseru, with Amajita seemingly content to play for the draw that would be enough for them to qualify for the semi-finals on Thursday.
In the 13th minute Tlotlo Leepile had a shot at goal from a set piece but it took a deflection and went just wide of goal.
Jody February was called into action in the 23rd minute when a Namibian free kick from Salom Pamp bounced unkindly in front of him, but he was able to parry the ball away.
In the 28th minute the impressive Pule Maraisane dribbled his way into the box, and squared the ball, but it was behind all of the approaching Amajita players and rolled to safety.
Siphelele Luthuli had a chance in the 33rd minute, but his effort from outside the area went high and wide.
A minute later Tebogo Moerane went on a good run down the left, but his cross was well saved by Namibian keeper Edward Maova.
In the 38th minute Nhlakanipho Ntuli sent in a good corner, but Siyand Ngubo was unable to get over the ball, and his header went over the goal.
A minute into the second half, Fagrie Lakay tried a long range effort, but Maova was able to make the save.
In the 58th minute Enrico Hoebeb tried a shot for Namibia from long range, but it went wide to the right.
Ngubo forced a reflex save from Maova in the 64th minute, as headed the ball toward goal following a corner.
Three minutes later Maraisane tried from just outside the area, but his shot sailed over the bar.
In the 69th minute Namibia almost pounced on a defensive error, but the final shot from Hoabeb lacked power and February saved easily.
In the 74th minute Ntuli tried a shot from outside the area, but it took a deflection and Maova was able to save.
In the 78th minute Ntuli tried another shot from outside the area but Maova got down well to save.
Namibia pushed for the winner in the last ten minutes, knowing victory would see them qualify ahead of Amajita for the semi-finals, but February's goal was never threatened, and it was South Africa who had the last few chances.
With two minutes to go Amajita should have wrapped up the result, but Ngubo's shot from the edge of the area went just wide.
Seconds later Ntuli almost had the winner, but Maova made a brilliant reflex save from close range, after some good work from Marasaine down the left in the build up.
Pule Maraisane was named man of the match.
In the other match today Zambia beat the Seychelles 4-0, but the result still meant the defending champions ended third in Group C.
