Bidvest Wits have snapped up Amajita teenage defender Tebogo Moerane, and wasted no time in giving him his debut, as he started on Saturday against Mamelodi Sundowns.
A former Orlando Pirates development player, Moerane, who was part of the Cosafa U20 Championship-winning team last year, had previously been linked with a number of PSL clubs including Ajax Cape Town, Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United.
He had been playing in the SAFA second division for North West West Shining Stars.
He is the second defender of the Cosafa Championship-winning team to make his PSL debut in two days, with Ajax's Rivaldo Coetzee making an impressive first start on Friday night.
