AmaZulu coach Craig Rosslee and his technical team may have to wait a little longer before they can use Zimbabwean midfielder Bret Amidu in an official game.
The player joined AmaZulu from the Aces Youth Soccer Academy (AYSA) in Zimbabwe, after impressing the KwaZulu-Natal club during his trial at the end of last season.
However, a source close to the player revealed to the Siya crew that AYSA are still waiting for payment from the PSL side, before the deal can be concluded.
"We've got one boy at AmaZulu. He is a young man called Bret Amidu. They haven't given us their position yet. So, we are still waiting to find out. We haven't signed any papers. So, until there is a legal agreement in place we can't really say that he has been signed.
"If they are saying that then they are not being professional. You can't say someone is your player until you have gone through all the legal processes of the signing and the transfer of the player," said the source.
AmaZulu's general manager, Peter O'Connor, confirmed that the club is still in negotiations. "We are busy in talks and we hope to reach an agreement before the start of the season," said O'Connor.?
