Pitso Mosimane's charges were desperate to end the year with three points as they look to keep pace Orlando Pirates heading into the new year.

Aubrey Ngoma earned a re-call to the Sundowns line up, while Kennedy Mweene maintained his spot between the sticks with Denis Onyango out with injury.

Sundowns enjoyed a lot of the ball in the early stages, with Gaston Sirino linking up with the likes of Lyle Lakay and Ngoma down the left.

Baroka came into the clash on a high after winning the Telkom Knockout, but it seems they had not recovered from the celebrating as they struggled to mount any serious attempts at Mweene's goal.

Jeremy Brockie nearly continued his impressive form in front of goal, but Baroka goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze produced a fine save to keep out the striker's stinging volley before the break.

Chipezeze, who impressed over the weekend, continued his heroics in the second with a couple of fine saves to deny Lebohang Maboe and Baroka in the opening 10 minutes.   Pitso Mosimane opted for a change moments later as Ngoma made way for Phakamani Mahlambi as the home side went in search of an opening goal.   It was one-way traffic in the second half, with Mosimane's throwing everything forward as they went in search of an opening goal.   With 10 minutes remaining, Mosimae threw on Toni Silva for Sirino to liven the up the attack as Baroka were sat deep in their own half.   Sundowns threw bodies forward in search of a winning goal, but Baroka held out defensively to claim a vital point on the road.   View The PSL Results   Here's how they lined up:
