Date: 28 January 2018
Venue: Princess Magogo Stadium
Golden Arrows and Baroka FC played to an entertaining 2-2 draw in an Absa Premiership match at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday Afternoon.
The first real scoring chance came in the 13th minute when Baroka's Mduduzi Mdatsane unleashed a powerful long range shot, but Arrows keeper made a great save as he turned the effort onto the post.
The away team continued to push forward and were rewarded for their efforts four minutes later when a great solo run from Gift Motupa saw him drive into the box from the left and fire the ball into net, 1-0.
Baroka almost found a second goal on the half hour mark when a quick counter-attack saw Lucky Nguzana shoot from the edge of the box, but the Arrows keeper made another fine save to deny him.
Arrows started to find their rhythm after that and managed to find the equalising goal three minutes before the break when Danny Venter dribbled his way into the box from the right and dully slotted the ball home, 1-1.
Arrows came out firing at the start of the second half and took the lead in the 68th minute after an initial shot from Lerato Lamola was spilled into the path of Knox Mutizwa by the keeper and he made no mistake as he passed the ball into an empty net, 2-1.
Baroka were not going to go down without a fight and equalised seven minutes later after a loose ball inside the Arrows box fell to an unmarked Motupa and he fired it into the back of the net, 2-2.
Arrows pushed hard for a winner in the final ten minutes, but could not find one as the game ended all-square.
