Mduduzi Mdantsane had crack at the goals, as Bakgaga were pressurising the visitors inside ten minutes but, he was off the mark from just outside the 18-yard area.

Clear-cut chances were hard to come by and the two sides resorted to long range shots, just as Linda Mntambo tried his luck in the 27th minute, although his effort sailed well over the crossbar.

Mpho Kgaswane should have given the hosts the lead three minutes later after going clear on goal, but his finishing left a lot to be desired.

With seven minutes remaining in the half, Talent Chawapiwa had his chance to break the deadlock for Baroka, with a snap-shot from just outside the box but he too could not find the target.

Chances continued to fall for Baroka, with Gift Motupa failing to trouble Brighton Mhlongo in the opening 10 minutes of the second half,

In the 69th minute, Edward Manqele could have found the breakthrough when he was played through on goal, but the former Kaizer Chiefs forward was flagged offside, although he did force Ayanda Dlamini into a fine save five minutes later,

Robin Ngalande nearly got a winner for Baroka five minutes before full-time, with a threatening free-kick from the edge of the box, but his strike sailed over the crossbar as the clash ended goalless.
