Absa Premiership Match Report: Moroka Swallows 0-2 Chippa United 14 September 2014

Chippa United

Absa Premiership   Result: Moroka Swallows 0-2 Chippa United   Date: 14 August 2014   Venue: Dobsonville Stadium   Chippa United picked up their second win of the campaign with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Moroka Swallows at the Dobsonvile Stadium on Sunday afternoon.   Check PSL Fixtures - Click Here   The win has moved the Chilli Boys up to eighth in the league standings, while Swallows remain in fifth position.   William Twala should have given Chippa the lead in the fourth minute, the winger latched onto a long ball before blasting over the crossbar.   George Akpabio squandered a great chance to put Chippa ahead in the 21st minute, as he beat the Swallows' offside trap but his attempted lob sailed wide of the target.   Swallows failed to threaten the Chippa United goal in the opening 45 minutes, despite having most of the possession.   New Swallows signing, Anver Esterhuizen, will have a debut to forget, after he was shown a straight red just before the halftime break for an apparent elbow on Ugonna Uzochukwu, however replays suggested otherwise.   Chippa took the lead five minutes after the restart, as an unmarked Ozchukwu headed Thamsanqa Sangweni's inviting cross.   Chippa were certainly full value for their 1-0 lead and took control of the game with Swallows down to 10 men.   The visitors then sealed the result in the 74th minute, as David Zulu popped up at the back post to side-foot into an empty net.   Here's how they lined up:   Moroka Swallows: Stephens; Mungomeni, Isaacs, Savic, Giuricich; Phalane, Mandic, Chabangu; Mabalane, Obada, Esterhuizen   Chippa United:  Mzimela, Mvelase, Zulu, Okwuosa, Sambo, Sangweni, Uzochukwu, Komane, Zulu, Twala, Akpabio   Check PSL Results - Click Here
