BEST
Bernard Morrison: 7/10
He was lively and aggressive in attack. He caused problems for the Chippa defence with his pace and his skill. Morrison also won a penalty for his side which he converted.
Musa Nyatama: 7/10
He controlled the middle of the park for the majority of the game. His passing often put team-mates into space. He was also dangerous in attack and even struck the post with one of his shots on goal.
Innocent Maela: 7/10
The left wingback was solid defensively and pushed forward to assist in attack. He created his side's third goal with a pinpoint cross.
Justin Shonga: 8/10
He was a constant threat in attack for Pirates. He had a few shots on goal which were superbly saved by the goalkeeper. However, he persevered and scored his side's second goal. He also scored a second goal late in the game with a spectacular long-range effort. He was named Man of the Match for his efforts.
Andile Mbenyane: 7/10
He worked hard in his attacking midfield role and created problems for Pirates with his defence-splitting passes. He also created Chippa's first goal with a great through ball.
Thabo Rakhale: 7/10
He used his pace and skill to attack down the flanks which gave the Pirates defence some headaches. He created some scoring chances for his team-mates with his dangerous crosses. He also had a few long-range shots on goal which went narrowly wide. One of his attempts on goal was saved into the path of Mashego, who scored Chippa's second goal.
WORST:
Ntsikelelo Nyauza: 5/10
It was not his best game in defence for Pirates. He gave the ball away cheaply with some poor passing. He was also at fault for Chippa's first goal after losing his marker.
Marshall Munetsi: 5/10
The Pirates midfielder struggled to keep up with the pace of the game. He was often found wanting in possession and gave the ball away with poor passing. His tackling was also sloppy which resulted in him getting a yellow card early in the game. He was substituted early in the second half.
Sizwe Mdlinzo: 5/10
He was wasteful in the middle of the park and often gave the ball away with some bad passing. He also had one extremely easy chance to score, which he fluffed.
Paseka Mako: 5/10
He made a few crucial errors in defence, one of which was a handball inside the box which resulted in a penalty being given. Another mistake saw him gift the ball to Morrison, who was left one-onone with the goalkeeper.
