Baxter Expects Masango To ‘Pay A Visit’ To SuperSport
Stuart Baxter says that he’ll always be monitoring Mandla Masango’s situation, and expects him to pay SuperSport United a visit in the near future.
The 27-year-old is going through a tough period in his career at present at his Danish club, Randers, and the former Kaizer Chiefs man was sent to train with the reserves following a falling out over a transfer away from the club.
It was reported in February that SuperSport made a last ditch attempt to try and bring in the pacey winger back to South Africa, although it failed to materialise in time and Masango remained in limbo in Europe.
When asked this week whether they were still interested in landing the midfielder, Baxter explained that they expect to see him when he returns to South Africa in the Danish offseason.
Baxter said in edition 1000 of Soccer Laduma, “Mandla is a player who’s come on a lot over the last couple of seasons and, because I’ve had him before, I’d always be monitoring his situation.
“The way he’s been treated is scandalous and when he comes back to South Africa on his break he’ll probably pay a visit to us.”
Masango has a contract with Randers until 2018.
