Chiefs looked to be heading to a 1-0 victory before two late Eleazar Rodgers goals at the death snatched a well-deserved victory for a determined Dikwena side.
Komphela lamented his side's missed chances, indicating that he thought both teams played an entertaining brand of football on the day.
“I didn’t see this coming. Both teams played good positive soccer. We need to convert chances. There was a lot of excitement in the opponent’s box, but we failed to finish,” Komphela told the official Chiefs website.
The Amakhosi mentor went on to clarify why he decided to leave Willard Katsande out of the squad, as another booking would mean he would be suspended for the Soweto Derby this coming weekend.
“Both central midfielders, (Reneilwe) Letsholonyane and Katsande would be suspended if they collected a yellow card. I didn’t want to take that risk.”
