Word reaching the Siya crew is that Free State Stars assistant coach, Duncan Lechesa, could replace the departed Major David Bright as the new Royal Eagles FC coach.
Bright parted ways with the KZN-based side, despite the new 2014/15 NFD campaign yet to commence.
A source close to the coach informed the Siya crew that the team lost to a Vodacom side in a club friendly game on Thursday, and the club’s directors were not happy with the result. However sources close to the club said the two parties parted ways amicably.
Now a source close to Eagles is that the club have earmarked Lechesa as the man to take charge of the club when the new season starts.
“They want Eagles to win promotion to the PSL and they believe that Duncan is the man to lead them to the PSL,” commented the source.
Lechesa led Polokwane City to PSL promotion during the 2012/13 season, and Eagles are hoping that he would do the same with them.
