Crystal Palace midfielder, Kagisho Dikgacoi, says that there is no truth to the rumours that he will be released by the club at the end of his current contract.
Reports in the English media recently stated that the 29-year-old would not be offered a new deal when his expires next month, after his name was on a list of players available for free transfer that Palace sent to the English Premier League.
However, the club recently told the Siya crew that KG’s name was on the list purely because his contract expires soon, and not because a decision has been made on his future.
Now the South African has backed up that story, saying that the Eagles want to keep him at the club next season, though he admits that nothing has been finalised yet.
KG told the crew, “There’s no truth in the rumours that I’ve been released. Palace want me to stay, and we’re still negotiating, but we’ll see what happens.”
Dikgacoi has been a regular under Tony Pulis at Palace this past season, and played a major role in their successful attempt to stay in England’s top flight.
