Former Platinum Stars defender, Elias Ngwepe, has been unveiled by Polokwane City as the club's latest signing.
The crew broke the story in the past few weeks that Rise and Shine were targeting the player, with his contract coming to an end this month (June 30) at Dikwena.
Soccer Laduma also confirmed the story that his former teammate at the Rustenburg-based club, Benson Mhlongo, signed a two-year deal with City, and that Ngwepe could follow suit.
However, sources within the camp at the Polokwane-based club reveal that the former Bloemfontein Celtic and Mamelodi Sundowns player has been unveiled as a new player.
“He joined us on Monday as we reported for pre-season, and he’s the club’s new player. Well, I’m not sure as to how long he has signed,” said the source.
The 36-year-old joins as a free agent, and will play a vital role for the club as they aim to finish in a decent position following their escape from relegation this past season.
