The Absa Premiership awarded Cape Town City the Quarter Three winners yesterday, May 18 and the Cape Town-based club are set to divide the prize money among the team.
City claimed R1,5 million from the PSL’s Q-Innovation campaign, after their outstanding run in the third quarter of the Absa Premiership, where they claimed six wins in eight matches.
Second to Head Coach Eric Tinkler’s side was Kaizer Chiefs, who accumulated 18-points in that section, just two less than City.

Previous winners of the Q-Innovation this season were Bidvest Wits in quarter one and Mamelodi Sundowns in quarter two.
A source within the Mother City-based camp has revealed that City are set to share the R1,5 million prize-money among the team, however, the extent is yet to be known.
The Citizens have had an illustrious inaugural season, winning the 2016 Telkom Knockout campaign and currently seated at third placed on the Absa Premiership league standings, with a possibility to end off as high as second at the end of the season.
