An Orlando Pirates player has reportedly failed a drug test, with the news that a player had tested positive for cocaine usage breaking in local media this afternoon (Wednesday).

The South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport confirmed to the Siya crew that an unnamed Bucs player has failed a drug test.
“I can confirm that a football player from Orlando Pirates at an Absa Premiership game failed a doping test. The B-Sample test confirmed usage of cocaine. The player has contested the charge and it will be heard on August 31,” said the SAIDS CEO, Khalid Galant.
Asked who the player in question is, Galant replied, “I can’t reveal the player’s name."
There are unconfirmed reports that the alleged player in question is Thandani Ntshumayelo.
