As predicted by the Siya crew, Ajax Cape Town have confirmed the signing of Joaquim Lupeta from Bidvest Wits.

The crew reported last month that the Urban Warriors were the favourites to land the forward, and the capture of his signature - subject to a medical - has now been confirmed.
A statement read:
"Ajax Cape Town is pleased to announce the signing of 23-year-old forward, Joaquim Lupeta, from Bidvest Wits, subject to the player undergoing his medical with the club.
"Lupeta played the majority of his youth football at the world-renowned FC Porto academy, after which he joined Hungarian side Videoton FC."
Meanwhile, club CEO, Ari Efstathiou, explained that the club was still working on other signings, saying, "“We are nearing completion of one or two more exciting signings in the next few days. Then our squad will be complete and ready to challenge for more silverware in the new season.”
