Italian Serie A Wrap, 21 September 2016

Juventus 4-0 Cagliari

After losing to Inter this past weekend, Juventus bounced back with an impressive 4-0 win over Cagliari at the Juventus stadium on Wednesday night.

Goals from Daniele Rugani, Gonzalo Higuain, Dani Alves and an own goal from Luca Ceppitelli handed Juventus their fourth win of the league season and sees them back on top of the Serie A table.

Bologna 2-0 Sampdoria

Despite being reduced to ten men following the sending off of Federico Di Francesco, Bologna beat Sampdoria 2-0 at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Wednesday night.

Goals either time of half time from Simone Verdi and Mattia Destro handed Bologna the win.

AS Roma 4-0 Crotone

A second half brace from Edin Dzeko coupled with first half goals from Stephan El Shaarawy and Mohamed Salah handed Roma a 4-0 win over Crotone at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday night.

Atalanta 0-1 Palermo

A 90th minute goal from Ilija Nestorovski handed Palermo a 1-0 win over Atalanta at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia on Wednesday night.

Chievo 2-1 Sassuolo

Two first half goals from Nicola Rigoni and Lucas Castro handed Chievo a 2-1 win over Sassuolo at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi on Wednesday night.

Gregoire Defrel scored the goal for Sassuolo.

Empoli 0-2 Inter

Inter kept up with their winning ways after a brace from Mauro Icardi handed them a 2-0 win over Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Wednesday night.

Genoa 0-0 Napoli

Genoa and Napoli played to a goalless draw at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Wednesday night.

Pescara 0-0 Torino

Despite playing away from home and being reduced to nine men following the sending off of both Afriyie Acquah and Giuseppe Vives, Torino managed to hold on for a point after playing to a 0-0 draw against Pescara at the Stadio Adriatico on Wednesday night.

Udinese 2-2 Fiorentina

Fiorentina came from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw away from against Udinese at the Dacia Arena on Wednesday night.

Duvan Zapata opened the scoring for Udinese in the 26th minute before Khouma Babacar levelled matters for Fiorentina four minutes later.

Danilo gave Udinese the lead just before the half time whistle, but his strike was cancelled out by a Federico Bernardeschi penalty goal in the 52nd minute.
