The Champions League is one of the most prestigious competitions in football, with Real Madrid legend Paco Gento lifting the trophy on six occasions, which is more than any other player in history.
The likes of Messi and Ronaldo have both won four finals, meaning that one more win for either of them will take them tie with names such as Paulo Maldini and Alfredo di Stefano.
There are, however, many top players across Europe who have never celebrated winning the UCL, such as Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who has lost three finals in the competition.
Swedish veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic has also never won the tournament, despite representing clubs such as AC Milan, Juventus, Inter Milan, FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in his career.
Juventus stars Giorgio Chiellini and Gonzalo Higuain are also among those to have never won the competition, as well as PSG players Thiago Silva and Edinson Cavani.
29-year-old Sergio Aguero has scored 27 UCL goals in just 54 appearances, but has also failed to reach a final in the tournament, while Eden Hazard has only played 36 times in the competition, in which he has so far failed to make a great impact.
Players With 200 Goals Or More In One League
Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has an excellent record in the tournament, scoring 40 goals in 61 games, but has not yet lifted the trophy, along with former Barca star Alexis Sanchez, who as things stand, will not play in the competition this season, as Arsenal failed to qualify to compete in the cup.
