The recent elections have come and gone for the brightest brains in the game to lead the league to new heights. Retaining his position as chairman of the league is Irvin Khoza, also on the committee is Kaizer Motaung. Is it a good or bad thing that club chairmen are also on the league committee?
This topic of discussion was recently raised in Supporters Club, with many suggesting that no man can have two jobs as momentous as being a club chairman as well as the chairman of the PSL.
"Our league is in bad hands. Kaizer and Khoza are unable to manage their Clubs, but think they are good enough to run the league. How so?" – setlaboswana
Other supporters have responded by saying that it is precisely because men such as Kaizer Motaung and Irvin Khoza are club chairmen that they should lead the league in general, as they know the needs of the clubs.
"@setlaboswana most executive committees of premier leagues in the world are made up of club bosses its their product or brand so they are the one's who make decisions regarding their product....hence they run their teams and serve on the exco committees.....its really a no brainer sir.
"It's the most professionally run league in the whole continent and also the most profitable, largely because of the leadership of these two Khoza and Kaizer...so I don't understand your point, it lacks motivation...perhaps you can substantiate your point sir." – TMAN-B
Should or shouldn't club chairmen be involved in running the PSL?
