Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos recently named his provisional squad for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia, raising a number of concerns among supporters particularly with regards to player exclusions.

It can be said that there have been a number of surprises with regards to the latest Bafana Bafana squad, as coach Broos added some experience to the side that will face Ethiopia next month.
South Africa will hope to build on their previous win over Ghana, as they currently sit at the top of Group G.
Now looking ahead on their African counterparts, fans have bemoaned some of Broos'choices, particularly at left-back.

Kaizer Chiefs defender Sifiso Hlanti returns to the national side, however, the dialogue among fans is that Mamelodi Sundowns star Lyle Lakay deserves a call-up. The former SuperSport United man is regarded as one of the best left-backs in the country, given his unique attributes from dead-ball and set-piece situations.
