Fans have come out in support of SAFA's decision to suspend all football activity amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
SAFA made the call to suspend all football activity until at least April, despite Minister Nathi Mthethwa's comments that games should continue on condition that they are played behind closed doors.
SAFA president Dr Danny Jordaan reiterated that the South African Football Association has decided there will be no football until April 04.
He was acting on the advice of SAFA doctor Thulani Ngwenya, who made it clear that local football would not be ready to handle the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic if the Premier Soccer League continues with normal programming.
One Twitter user @mrcool_SIYA has hit out at Mthethwa, saying that fans should not have to suffer for games that ministers more than likely would not have watched.
