Readers Voice: Tau Must Pray Pitso Don't Get Fired

Readers Voice: Tau Must Pray Pitso Don't Get Fired

With Percy Tau's move to Al Ahly one that many supporters are still digesting, some supporters have felt that much of his progress in Egypt will rely on whether coach Pitso Mosimane stays at the club.

What's the story?

When the news broke that Tau could eventually ply his trade in the Premier League, following work permit troubles, fans were excited at the prospect of seeing the former Mamelodi Sundowns man in one of the best leagues in the world.

No Game Time

However, a lack of game time made it hard for Tau to make his mark with Brighton Hove Albion, with a move away from the club being reported in various media outlets.

Subsequently, Tau signed for Al Ahly in Egypt in what was a move that made waves on social media among Mzansi footy fans. Some felt that it was a move in the wrong direction and potentially a step down in his career.

Other's felt that playing for the African giants will do him well, while also reuniting with former coach Pitso Mosimane being a positive factor in the move.

Never Be Fired

That being said, a local fan who took to the Soccer Laduma Facebook account under the 'Official: Pitso's Latest Signing Confirmed' story mentioned that much of Tau's future will depend on Mosimane's future.

Named, Siviwe Bucs Petse, the fan said, "Watching Tau in this Past two games, He must pray Pitso never be fired at Al Ahly. Otherwise his career there is done. The dude is not top level."

Have your say…

Do you agree with the above sentiments?
