While Kaizer Chiefs may have made defensive reinforcements, an Amakhosi fan lamented the club's problems at the back and mentioned that Njabulo Ngcobo is better than experienced campaigners Erick Mathoho and Daniel Cardoso.

"There's favouritism at Naturena, no competition, let's open our eyes people. Chiefs will suffer, Mathoho and Cardoso are consistent when it comes to poor defending ever since 2015 and they will continue to do so."
