Mamelodi Sundowns star Rivaldo Coetzee has become on of the most indispensable players at Chloorkop and with it being reported that has signed a new long term deal with the club, fans have shown their delight at the news.
What's the story?
As is the case with every player who signs for Sundowns, breaking into the starting XI is deemed to be a feat on its own. While Coetzee suffered injury set-backs at the beginning of his Downs career, he has now become one of the most important players to their set-up.
The defender cum midfielder has been deemed to be one of the smartest players in the PSL today, with his ability to slot in an important midfield role with consummate ease being appreciated by the club's fanbase.
Midfield Maestro
Coetzee's ability to sense and use space in midfield was praised by Downs coach, Steve Komphela and has already racked up three man of the match awards in four matches played this season. Its now been reported that Coetzee put pen to paper on a fresh four year deal with Sundowns, which no doubt pleased the Downs fans.
Taking to the Soccer Laduma Facebook page, under the 'Talks For New Downs Contract Concluded' post, a fan by the name of Nkosikhona Nkosi Jr. mentioned that Downs tactical approach revolve around Coetzee.
Knosi said, "Sundowns tactics applications revolve around Coetzee actually the team is built around him, so he is very important."
Domination
Speaking on the news, another supporter by the name of Menzi Zwile commented and said that in doing business like this, the club is focused on dominating.
Zwile mentioned, "Sundowns is no longer competing with the PSL clubs it's just a matter of dominating."
